The Essence of Ikhlas

Performing a good deed away from the public eye eliminates the risk of showing off (Riya). The Prophet ﷺ mentioned seven types of people whom Allah will shade under His Throne on the Day of Judgment, including those who give charity so secretly that their left hand doesn't know what their right hand has spent.
